Biography
Quorren's passion for meditation practice began in February 2018 when getting to understand herself through serious trial and error, “things aren’t always easy and finding a balance between losing self and losing to the trials of this physical plane, is not always an easy task!” Breath-work , visualization, meditation, storytelling, scent, all combined into one practice helps bring the mind to balance, she believes. “Here, we are able and allowed to think in a more clear, tempered fashion. Take a mental trip inward and relax.” Quorren sees the importance of incorporating all of the senses when diving into a another frame of relaxation and mental rest. Quorren specializes in group guided meditation with affirmations, working with the Chakras (energy centers located throughout the body) and visualization work. She likes to include scent and strong, vivid dialogue in her practice to help place the mind in a state of pure relaxation. After practicing mindful awareness for a year, she found it to be the most valuable thing she could help someone understand and teacher to help others inspire their own practice of mindful awareness.

ABOUT MY CLASS

yoga nidra
This guided sleep meditation is a lucid state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. Nothing else is required of you but to lay back and listen as your body is completely relaxed and becoming systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.

mindfulness (+writing)
With so much information coming at you each day, it’s easy to feel like your brain is bombarded and busy, like a hoarders’ attic or a mall on Black Friday. Mindfulness and writing can literally change your brain, boost immune function, and lighten your mood. Both help us become more resilient—to pay attention to the small stuff, play with shifting perspectives, be grounded and optimistic, learn from failure, and make life-affirming choices filled with integrity and compassion. “Wisdom begins in wonder,” said Socrates, and we’ll integrate mindfulness practices with brief readings and writing prompts to help us get a little bit wiser, a little bit more hopeful. Bring your favorite notebook, a pen, and an open attitude.
