Hello, I’m Alle! My goal is to help bring peace and healing to your life.

Alle Kamela

Alle returned from serving in the Peace Corps in Madagascar in 2015, and found themselves on their yoga mat daily in order to cope with reverse culture shock. A year later Alle discovered a gentle yet strong practice called Dharma Yoga here in DC. After practicing Dharma Yoga daily for a year and finding a sense of calm and strength within, they had the honor of studying with legendary yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City. Alle travels to NYC once a month to practice with Sri Dharma. Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma’s 50+ years of practicing classical yoga. Dharma Yoga is Hatha-Raja Yoga and it incorporates all Eight Limbs of Yoga including meditation, mantras (chanting), and pranayama (breathing exercises). The practice aims to improve the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Alle was raised on mantras like ‘Om namah shivaya’ and thus feels deeply connected to these practices. Mantras, meditation and breath work has brought them so much joy and peace of mind that they want to share it with everyone, especially in these times, in this city. They are also a DC native and feel honored to bring peace and healing to their hometown. Alle is also a Reiki Level II certified practitioner and is honored to share these practices with you.

Discover how to relax the nervous system, reduce stress, and reframe the brain’s bias to hold onto negativity. In this session, we connect mind, body and brain, through deep breathing, mindfulness and guided visual meditation, activating the relaxation response and bringing ourselves back to equilibrium.

Unwind and unpack the day with de-stress meditation that aims to attune your awareness to your senses. Focus on body functions such as breath and pulse can be cultivated to bring us back to homeostasis through the power of the mind. Drop your cortisol levels; regulate pulse and adrenals; increase your sense of calm and ease so you can enjoy the pleasures of life.

Mantras are postures of the mind, practiced to assist in transcending the mind’s activity. Mantra repetition not only brings focus and clarity, but also shifts the body’s energy on a vibrational level to allow the mind and body to feel re- energized, centered, and receptive.

Mantra meditation, is a sound, word, or phrase that is repeated as an affirmation used to help keep you connected to a particular state of mind.
