This is a great certification for yoga teachers, massage therapists and body workers, and anyone interested in sound therapy.

Price: $149 // Early Bird Pricing: $125, through 01/19/19

Sound healing is the use of tuned, deep-vibrational instruments such as crystal and Tibetan bowls during healing and meditation, which can balance dissonant frequencies in the body and bring them into harmony. The tones and frequencies the bowls carry effect us in specific ways–each tone activates a different energy center, chakra and organ system within the body.

Join Dante Baker LMT, E-RYT 200 and explore the history of how sound has been used for centuries as a healing method, and break down the science behind the benefits of this modality. During this 6-hour course, participants will practice how to facilitate sound meditations and healings using sacred instruments to create balance within themselves and those around them.

***Please bring your own bowls if you have them, otherwise bowls will be provided for those who do not.

DANTE BAKER — Dante has been a native to the Washington DC area his entire life, growing up in Reston, VA. Since his childhood years, Dante has always had a fascination with the human anatomy and all of its abilities to heal, move, and process. This interest led Dante to studying and receiving certifications through AFAA and NASM in 2007. In 2009, Dante enrolled in the National Massage Therapy School and completed his 600- hour massage certification in 2010, all while learning transcendental meditation from Dr. Mahapatra Gyanendra — one of the personal physicians of the Mararishi meditation course. After receiving his certification, he studied under Dr. Akmal Muwwakkil exploring Eastern practices and philosophies, including a course in Tui Na—an ancient form of Chinese bodywork. In 2013, Dante enrolled in a nine month Qi Gong and Tai Chi Ball certification with Master Nianzu Li (L.Ac). He went on to strengthen his Qi Gong practice and began to teach personal clients as well as classes. Dante started to incorporate sound healing with singing bowls as a way to heal the body, and received his Reiki Master certification in 2015, and most recently received his Yoga certification -200 hour from SOYA in January of 2016. Dante personally trains and sees private clients for massage, physical exercise and Reiki, teaches meditation, yoga, qi gong classes, performs crystal and Tibetan Sound meditation. His personal philosophy is that the body has an innate wisdom within itself and the tools and services he provides, allows the body to perform the healing that it knows how to do.
