Sat. March 3: ‘Eight Points of Awakening’
A series of workshops for extended sitting meditation practice, accompanied by experiential learning that is developed through connection with others. The themes will be drawn from Buddhist or Yoga psychology and contemporary Humanistic perspective(s). We will break bread & have tea as well.
As a participant, you will:
- employ tools for stress relief, wellness & compassion
- experience extended sitting meditation practice
- learn from your direct experience
- learn from other’s experience
- cultivate respectful community
A mind-body educator with over 30 years experience, he teaches adaptive yoga, guided meditation & relaxation in the Advanced Military Training Center at The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He has collaborated with the: National Intrepid Center for Excellence, Defense and Veteran’s Center for Integrative Pain Management, Howard University Cancer Center/Hospital & Friendship Place/La Casa. He is the creator/director of the Multidisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training.
