[su_dropcap style=”default” size=”3″ class=””]T[/su_dropcap]he benefits of a power nap are reaching the level of common knowledge in the world today. Talk shows chatting about them, Harvard conducting studies on them, and hordes of eBooks and other literature all addressing the many benefits of taking a daily power nap. It’s hard to argue with such a consensus, so now the only question you may be asking yourself is: where is the best place to take a nap?.
This can be a bit tricky. After all, you can’t just plop your head down on your desk like you’re back in 10th grade Social Studies learning about some boring law that was passed in the 1800s. Most people can’t afford—quite literally—to sleep on the job by crashing out at the desk. But, assuming you’ve found the right time to take your power nap, here are just a few great places you can look to in order to grab that nap.
1: An Office Sofa
Warning: Do not do this unless it’s allowed! If your office sofa is for clients, or it’s in a high-traffic area, don’t attempt this. However, many offices have sofas inside of them, and grabbing a 20-minute nap on a sofa can be a great place to get your daily nap in.
2: A napnook
napnooks are specific locations that provide literal nooks in which individuals can grab quick naps during the day. They create a fantastic ambiance that’s very conducive to sleep. They provide plenty of white noise and/or music if you require it. The temperature is always perfectly comfortable. And, best of all, it’s a business that will wake you up so you don’t over-shoot your intended wake-up target.
3: Your Automobile
If you park on the side of the road, this isn’t a great option. But if you use a parking garage, then your car, truck or SUV can offer a great place to sleep in. You have perfect climate control at your fingertips. You can put your seat back and relax. And barring odd instances, you won’t have to worry about anyone else around you to disturb your nap.
Overall, a nap is only as good as the location you choose. So try to remember to pick a nice, quiet place. The napnook is undoubtedly the best on the list, but if you don’t have one around you, the sofa or your automobile are great alternative options in a pinch.
