[su_dropcap style=”default” size=”3″ class=””]T[/su_dropcap]he 1993 American romantic comedy film “Sleepless in Seattle”, stars Tom Hanks as Sam Baldwin and Meg Ryan as Annie Reed. The film features many valuable nuggets, but our favorite is the empathy, courage, and leadership displayed by Sam’s young son, Jonah. At napnook, we strive to display the characteristics of Jonah: leaping fearlessly to reverse the stigma of workplace napping; guiding the hand of employers to update Corporate Wellness Programs; and leading the charge to establish sleep health as a national priority.
[blockquote type=”intext”]August is National Napping Month, and what better way to celebrate than to announce the launch of napnook‘s new blog: Sleepless in America. We hope you look forward to your favorite topics and our progress![/blockquote]
What is the goal?
The goal of the napnook blog is to educate employers, its readers, fans, and the general public on the importance of sleep wellness with a focus on napping in the workplace. We are motivated to reverse the stigma that napping indicates laziness, lack of ambition, low standards, is reserved for the very young and very old. The intention is to grow and engage a fellowship with informational, entertaining, and consistent content that is both interesting and exciting to the reader. As much as we endorse napping, hopefully our message won’t put you to sleep!
What will be covered?
Sleepless in America will cover a broad range of topics relating to the daily productivity of employees and general public health, which collectively impacts the success of companies and the national economy on a larger scale. Sleepless in America will provide insightful analysis on all sleep and napping related subjects in a fun and interactive manner.
As napnook’s world-class team continues to expand the horizons of what is possible to achieve in the conscientious businesses, Sleepless in America will broadcast its growing knowledge base to a broad corporate and general public audience.
The primary beneficiaries of our expertise are the tens of millions of corporate employees and the companies who employ them to support our continuous global economy. Not to be forgotten is the average sleepless person requiring a recharge to eagerly confront the rest of the day. As the demands on the global workforce increasingly stretch the boundaries of employee work hours, we include material and resources aimed at providing sleep solutions for ALL corporate employees.
napnook looks forward to expanding the sleep health community and connecting with the very people this subject matter effects. We are excited to start this adventure and hope you will come along for the ride!
