I had such a delightful experience. I've attended a mediation and am looking forward to going back (tomorrow!). I spoke with the founder and one of the teachers and felt welcomed and at ease immediately. The space is cozy and inviting. I was comfortable and relaxed as I savored the complimentary tea before the meditation. I embarked on a unique experience being guided and would highly recommend it.
I'm so glad a concept like this has come to DC. I've attended a meditation and a power nap session. Both were amazing as I felt energized and more positive as I returned to work. I was noticeably more productive at work during the time I usually have that 2nd cup of coffee in the afternoon. I can certainly see myself becoming a regular! The recharj space is an oasis and the people in it are welcoming. You feel like you're a part of a community from day one and that there's something more under the surface, worthy of exploration. Right now they have a great deal to experience all of the classes, unlimited for a low monthly membership. It's worth it.A place like recharj is difficult to describe unless one experiences it. It's also difficult to convey to someone that in our busy, modern world full of distractions and stressors that this kind of experience shouldn't be a luxury. It's required. So that's why you should invite all of your friends and take it from there.
Awesome staff, environment, and concept! Between long hours at work, planning a wedding, and renovating a new home, this is EXACTLY what I needed to escape the stress and finally relax. I heard about this via an article in the Washington Post. I'm always so stressed by the week that by Friday I am really ready for the weekend. I made an appointment for a 12:30 pm Power Nap. I was blown away by how relaxed I was afterward. The space is very quiet and the "bed" that you take the nap on wraps you in a way that I've never been before. You can cover up with a blanket and put an eye mask on. Quiet, relaxing music plays and you are offered ear plugs if you don't want any sound. I plan to go back next week!
I have a hard time with mindfulness and meditation, but you all make it so easy and SOO relaxing. I have done 4 classes, and every time I am done, I feel better than after having a massage (and that says a LOT). THANK YOU.
This place is a dream. Tranquil and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The woman I was greeted by was super helpful and friendly. I did one of the nap sessions and it was amazing. You go into a little area that's sectioned off by curtains and lay down on a huge beanbag bed that forms to your body. Then they turn all the lights off and play the most relaxing music. If you've run in from the busy-ness and stress of the outside, it might take you a few minutes to relax, but trust that you will by the end of the session. This place is unique and so needed with the craziness and stress of city life, and especially political life we're all mired in right now. Take 20 minutes and give it a shot.
